Animal Sixth Sense

According to Reuters and London Evening Standard, amidst the destruction and tragic loss of life caused by the Indian Ocean tsunami, get this - no dead animals were found.

That is amazing, but not at all surprising. I always feel a certain disgust whenever I hear someone use the term 'dumb animal', because I believe animals are far more intelligent than humans. So what if they can't talk to us? That says more about us than them. Speech is a dreadfully limited method of communication, anyway. Perhaps they do talk to us... and we just don't know how to listen.

I do believe humans have the potential to develop the ability to sense danger the way animals do. Unfortunately, we've let that potential go to waste... but that's a rant for another time.
