How about some Weed?

I've lost count of how many times I've heard that some new format is gonna "save the music biz". The latest buzz surrounds Weed. I'll save you the hype because frankly, I have no idea how successful this thing is gonna be. As always, it depends on how the public embraces it.

However, it sounds promising enough that I've made every track from The Hungry Ghost CD available for download in Weed format on my site. You'll be able to listen to each file a few times, a "try before you buy" deal. What I like most about Weed is that it's not really a new format - these are specially-encoded Windows Media files compatible with most players.

Apparently, anyone who buys these tracks can then sell them and make some money themselves. Not sure how this works, but you can read more about this (potentially) revolutionary format here.
