Greetings, fellow swamp creatures...
Had a great time at the San Diego Comicon, where I had the pleasure of attending a panel celebrating the career of John Totleben. John is best known for being one-half of the art team on Saga of the Swamp Thing when Alan Moore was the writer. If you haven't read any of those issues, you're in for a treat. The entire run is available in graphic novel format at most bookstores, and I highly recommend it whether you're a comics fan or not. It's just fantastic reading, perfectly blending horror, fantasy, romance, and the supernatural. I mean, Alan and John's Swamp Thing practically gave birth to the Vertigo comics line. Without them there would have been no Sandman series, no John Constantine, no Books of Magic... need I say more? Check out John's website at http://www.comicon.com/totleben/totleben.htm

I highly doubt Alan Moore was at San Diego con (unless he went in disguise) or will be at any con in the near future as he's reportedly scared to death of U.S. comic book fans. Can we blame him?
btw, Shaina, it's unlikely you'll find the CD sitting on the shelves at your local record store. Your best bet is to special order it (if there's a Borders near you, that would probably be the best place to do it).
Good luck and let me know how it goes...
